Annie Duke
Duke, a former professional poker player and cognitive scientist, and the author of Quit: The Power of Knowing When to Walk Away and Thinking in Bets, will join Harding Loevner Vice Chairman Simon Hallett in a discussion about how to make good decisions, and how processes and rules can help avoid common cognitive biases and improve investment outcomes.

General Karl Eikenberry
Eikenberry, a retired United States Army Lieutenant General and former US Ambassador to Afghanistan, will provide insights into the volatile geopolitical environment and the economic risks it poses. Topics will include China’s rising influence in global affairs, tensions on the Korean peninsula, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, and the long-term effects of the Russia-Ukraine war.
